Country path, St. Andrews

The weather was glorious, and warm. Went along the Ron Short National Trust walk (who I wonder is/was Ron Short??? I guess I really aught to know! LOL) up the road from here. I've often wanted to take the dogs, but never know who I might meet. Anyhow did it on my own today. Lots of little insects and flying creatures several of which landed on my paper or drowned in my watercolour, poor things.

Just wanted to say "hi!" :)
I love your drawings!! There is one that you say you're disappointed with, but I think it's wonderful. You really make me wish to visit Guernsey one day. I always wondered what those Channel Islands would be like. For some reason always imagined them as being a smaller version of the rough Scottish islands. Your pictures show lush greenery, plants .... I like how you incorporate writing... follow your "obsession", it is worth it!

  5. Gorgeous watercolors......you do landscapes so well, capturing not only the scene, but the Spirit of the place. Now that's magic!

I tried to leave comments on a few other pics, but couldn't find the "post comments" link.....fyi!
